Maple Salmon

Warning: there will be no leftovers. I found this recipe on allrecipes.com awhile ago. I gaurentee even if you are not a fish lover you will love this. I love this dish because this is stuff that I often have on hand, so I don't have to make any special trips to the store. Serve with a side of rice and fresh broccoli.

1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 pound salmon

DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, garlic salt, and pepper.
Place salmon in a shallow glass baking dish, and coat with the maple syrup mixture. Cover the dish, and marinate salmon in the refrigerator 30 minutes, turning once.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven, and bake salmon uncovered 20 minutes, or until easily flaked with a fork.

The ONLY good station we get in at home is "Food Network" and I watch it pretty much 24/7.

They had a show on just a couple of days ago featuring this organic maple brown-sugared cotton candy. They say you can actually buy it at just about any store. Anyway, they had a chef who served a yummy salmon and his secret ingredient was the cotton candy! All he did was wrap the salmon in tin foil with seasonings, some EVOO, and some of that cotton candy on top. Popped it in the oven and within a few minutes have a really yummy sweet and savory dinner. I am not a fish person, but it does sound good!
